Ravishankar — wildlife and travel photographer

I am Ravishankar, a wildlife and travel photographer. This website is my photo diary: birds, mammals, reptiles and insects from forests, lakes, sanctuaries and zoos, and the trips on which I found them.

The gallery has 320 photographs of 113 kinds of animals from 37 places, taken on 67 trips between 2014 and 2026. Every photo page says what the animal is, where it was taken, which month and year, and whether it was in the wild or in a zoo.

This is only a small part of my work. Right now 320 photographs are online, and I have taken around 10,000 more that are not on the site yet. I am editing them and adding more soon, so please visit again.

How to browse

• By animal — for example all tigers, hornbills or butterflies.
• By place — every sanctuary, lake or zoo.
• By trip — year by year, with a gallery for each place and month.

Using my photographs

Every photograph is my own work and is protected by copyright. Please do not copy, download or reuse the pictures without asking me first. If you would like to use a photo, share it, or know more about a sighting, please ask before you do.

You are welcome to share a link to any photo or trip with the Share button on each page. The link shows a small preview picture, so people see the photo and come to the original page.
